One of my duties as a manager of WHBC 96.3 HD3 was to manage all social media platforms. This included live tweeting, updating Instagram and Facebook accounts, and creating specific social content related to each radio show.
I created @TheHowardUConnection summer 2013. At the time, Howard University did not have an official Instagram profile so this page was created to serve as an outlet to positively display the Howard University lifestyle. The purpose of this platform was to connect prospective students, current students and alumni of Howard University through showcasing visiting talent and event promotion by posting unique content you wouldn't see on Howard University's official website. The page swiftly gained over 12,000 followers within a span of two years after it's launch.
